ABOUT DAN

Dan is now working out of Anatomy Fitness as a personal trainer and teaches a strength and conditioning class on Tuesday/Thursday mornings @ 9:15am and K1 Kickboxing classes on Monday and Thursday @7pm.

Dan's passion for fitness started at a young age. As a youth, he trained in Shorin Jiu Ryu karate, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and played competitive tennis, soccer and baseball. At 19, he decided to try boxing and was hooked from the beginning by the challenge of stamina and strength that boxing presented. 

Through training at Atlas Boxing, he discovered the Hookup Muay Thai club where he became a fanatic, enjoying the science of 8 limbs, in which you are able to strike with the hands, elbows, knees and shins. Throughout his 45+ bout amateur career, Dan utilized various weight training protocols to keep in battle-ready shape. 

Dan has been a certified personal trainer and boxing/kickboxing coach since 2005.

ABOUT SABRA

Sabra is now doing virtual personal training/classes and in home training. She began dancing at age 5 and her passion for movement was born! Over the years, she studied and performed in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary/modern dance, African, Indian and Middle-Eastern dance techniques. She attended Claude Watson School for the Arts and York University as a dance major.

With over 20 years in the dance field, Sabra developed some injuries that were really impeding her performance abilities. She decided to try strength training and barre workouts as a means of mending her muscular imbalances. This enhanced the quality of her dancing so much that she felt compelled to turn her positive experience into her passion for helping people.

Sabra is a compassionate person with a special interest in working with senior citizens and people with health or physical limitations. She believes despite clients having certain limitations, that options for movement are limitless and that there is always something for everyone to feel welcome and taken care of on their journey’s to better health. Every training session will contain elements of postural alignment, balance, core strength, muscular endurance and will include a restorative stretch at the end.
